NorduGrid ARC v0.4.5 Release Notes

The 0.4.5 is available from the download section of the NorduGrid web site, or directly from the FTP repository. Yum/apt repository is also open at ftp://ftp.nordugrid.org/repos/<OS>/$releasever/$basearch/stable/

This is mainly a bugfix release. The changes and fixes with respect to 0.4.4 are:

• Fix bug in nordugridmap where curl was never invoked (Bug #467)
• Remove perl-perl-ldap dependency in RPM (not needed on FC3)
• Fix permission on cron files (Bug #474)
• Update the Debian control file to be in sync with RPM spec file
• Various fixes for gcc-3.4
• Fix certificate DN handling in user interface to support UTF8 (Bug #440)
• Fix SySV init scripts to use correct daemon process names (Bugs #454 and #463)
• Fix scan-pbs-job to support many jobs
• Fix typo in PBS info provider to provide correct number of queued jobs (Bug #462)
• Fix problem when info provider attribute value is empty (Bug #448)
• Fix signal problem in thread handling where grid-manager and gridftpd leave a lot of <defunct> children
• Make ngacl accept root ACL for SSE
• Fix grid-manager to make sure root can not run jobs
